Moose
Our area
supports a high population of moose and has always been recognized for
trophy quality and as a result moose hunts are our most popular.
Moose are hunted from August 25th to October 15th. On
earlier hunts moose are typically hunted at higher elevations by spot
and stalk. After September 15th the rut kicks in and moose can be
hunted almost anywhere by calling. Throughout most of our season
there are horn size restrictions in-place to ensure trophy quality. Our
moose typically average 50" with a couple harvested every year pushing
60". Moose are located throughout our area
and can be added as a secondary species to almost any hunt.
