Elk
Mild winters and
improving habitat has increased the range and population of our
elk. All primary elk hunts are one hunter per guide ten day hunts
conducted from September 5th to September 25th to coincide with the
rut. These are exciting hunts where bulls are called in to close
range. Elk are hunted under a six-point horn restriction, which
keeps quality high. All of our harvested elk have been in the 320
B&C range and this is what can be expected. Most of our elk
hunts are conducted out of our base camp and involve relatively short
horseback rides and/or hiking. You can expect to see several
moose during your hunt and purchasing a licence is
encouraged.
